Adding Value To Your Home With Landscaping

0 commentsUncategorized

Landscapers and estate agents agree that how well your house looks from the outside often creates buyer expectation for what is inside. So, how can landscaping add real value to your property? And what projects should you take on first before you put in a full-scale landscape?

A “value added” landscape might not seem like a good idea at first, but as the homeowner starts talking about it, the value comes into focus. By the time your project is done, you will see the value you are getting for your money. That is because you can sell your home faster once your garden has been landscaped. What projects do you need to tackle first before you add value to your home?

The two most popular landscaping projects for most homebuyers are a garden and a pool. With a pool, people may want to consider installing a deck on top or just digging a hole and putting in a half moon shaped concrete slab. If your property is close enough to the ocean to get in a nice swimming pool, then this is a project you can tackle right off the bat.

If you have a large garden, you may want to consider adding plants and trees to provide shade and protection from the elements. Many homebuilders offer landscaping services to make sure your property looks its best when finished with landscaping. If you have the space and know how to plant, you can create an oasis out of your garden with a professional designer’s touch.

When you complete your project, be sure to add it to your house value and keep a close eye on it. If you want to know what the difference a year made in landscaping can make in how much you paid for your home, you can call up builders who specialise in landscaping and inspect their own projects. Many will give you a free estimate so you can assess the cost versus the value it will add to your property.

No matter what type of project you choose to tackle first, remember that landscaping is a long-term investment that adds value to your home and increases the value of your property. Do you need a landscaping quote? Visit Landscape Gardeners Coventry for a free quote.…

Perennial Plants For Your Garden

0 commentsUncategorized

Most perennials have long stems that are used in landscape design, but how do you know when to plant them? Perennial flowers add colour and seasonal interest year-round, from spring to late autumn, usually attracting butterflies and bees to their petals, and even making good cut flowers as well. If your flowers don’t bloom for two or three seasons in a row, consider planting them in pots instead. This will give them more of a chance to thrive.

Before choosing a perennial plant for your garden, consider what type of flower it will be. For example, if you are looking to grow a garden in the winter months, think about flowering perennials that bloom only once during the winter, such as bluebells. You can place a border of frosted bluebells around a table and you won’t need a border to keep out the birds and other animals that enjoy eating the flowers. Bluebells will stay alive until the first snowfalls.

There are several different ways to plant a perennial flower. For example, planting a border of flowers will create a garden that is more visually interesting than just one large border. If you plant a border of annuals with a border of perennials, it will create a beautiful show of flowers that grow back the following season. Picking the right flowers to plant your garden in the summer months depends on the time of year, your area, and where you live.

The colour of the petals will determine whether your garden will bloom or not, so the best time to plant the flower is in the early spring. If you plant a border of perennials that bloom later in the summer, you’ll have a beautiful display of flowers that bloom throughout the year.

Flowers that bloom all year long include roses, tulips, lilies, hydrangeas, daffodils, honeysuckle, daisies, and violets. To plant a flower bed with perennials, you will want to place the flour in a container that has some drainage built into it. It’s also important that you get your soil ready for the planting process.

Once you’ve established your plants, add soil to cover the bottom half of the container. This will help to keep water away from the roots of your plants. If you don’t have enough drainage, you will have to re-pot your plants every few years to ensure their roots don’t drown in the water.

Planting in pots allows you to spread your plants out, allowing them to spread out if needed. This can allow you to plant any number of these plants at a time and move them closer or farther apart as your garden grows.

Perennial flowers give you many options when it comes to choosing flowers for your garden. If you are looking for a good way to brighten up your garden, choose perennial plants.

Many flowers that bloom all year round are in season when you buy them. Roses, tulips, honeysuckle, and daisies bloom all year long, so if you have an area of your garden that has never had flowers, consider planting a border of these flowers in pots to create a new, fresh look.

However, if you want to add blooms to your lawn and your flowers are perennials, you might want to think about transplanting these flowers from their original place to your garden. You can plant perennials near your house, or in an area that gets minimal sunlight.

If you are growing perennials near the house, you may want to consider putting some pots on the ground to provide them with a source of water. They will keep the soil moist enough during the winter to grow plants throughout the year.

With a little work and research, you can learn how to grow a small garden full of beautiful flowers. If you enjoy planting, you’ll love the joy of learning how to cultivate an annual garden.…

In recent years, we’ve continued to grow the landscape maintenance side of the business, focusing on providing exceptional care for a relatively small number of high-end properties. We also began offering landscape construction services. EcoTech Landscaping now provides a full range of construction services, from planting to hardscape, installing their own designs as well as those of landscape architects and designers with whom they partner regularly.

The landscape design process is tailored to meet each client’s individual needs and style. Whether you need a master plan for a new home, a redesign after a renovation, or just want to create a unique space or feature, we will work with you to get the best out of your property and your budget.

Construction

  • Hardscapes- Constructed using natural stone, brick, or pavers: pool decks, driveways, freestanding or retaining walls, steps, walkways, firepits.
  • Landscape and Garden Bed Installation
  • Turf Installation- seed or sod
    Water Features

The construction of a quality landscape begins below the surface. The keys to the long term success of your new landscape are the parts of the project that you DON’T see – soil preparation before planting, base preparation for your new patio or retaining wall, etc. If these steps are not done properly, a job that looks spectacular the day it is finished will be failing a year or two later. Unfortunately, because you can’t see them, these are also the easiest places to cut corners. Whether working with an outside landscape architect or installing our own design, you can rest assured that your project will be planned and executed using best practices to ensure that it stays beautiful and functional for many years.
